Time Tunnel

Sorry for the long silence as life has been so busy. If you have followed me on Twitter, you know that I’m spinning like a bee every single day. Continue on my Cameron Highland’s trip on the Merdeka weekend, we went to ‘Time Tunnel’ on the next day. The name itself had already gave you the thought that you gonna back to the old sweet times.

You will need to buy an entrance ticket to start your journey in Time Tunnel. For Adult is only RM 5/pax. Here we go!

What welcomes you is a super traditional old-look kitchen on your left. Look at all the pots, mugs, trays, benches, calendar, bowls and everything, these are all the items that is no longer in KL City. Back in my hometown, these are all the items that my grandma still using. It is a little bit saddening when all these items can actually display in a so-called “museum”, which means I’m not that young already. *emo*

Me as an 80s, I really feel lucky and blessed as compared to the millennium babies. Even though back then we do not have IT gadgets like iPad and iPhone, yet we have a practically fun-filled childhood. We ran around the whole kampong to play hide and seek; we play badminton with neighbours every evening; randomly ajak classmates out for a bicycle rides. With IT advancement, hands on activities is lessen and everything can be done in electronic way. There’s no more cassette and VCD, it’s only MP3 and DVD.

Back on track, basically this journey is stirring up my memory because most of the displays actually exist when I was young. Let’s see what’s inside in Time Tunnel:

Look back those “old” items, amaze on how things have change and glad to know that we are moving forward. Staying on the same stage of life will never bring us to anywhere! Even Darlie packaging has change. Interesting! Nowadays, bottle drinks seems to be so limited, the last time I remember I have this bottle drink is in Singapore. Not sure whether we can find in KL though. Mesmerizing the old place really brought back so many childhood memories.

Last time kitchen is the key place at home cause the mother will cook for the family. Look at how the kitchen being set? My hometown house has a similar one but now has been upgraded. Mother’s love is beyond description.
It is fun to visit this place and I get excited when I see those items which are similar to me. We had a super happy journey here and my mum said: our house can also become a time tunnel what, we have more that that! Whoahhh, let me know if you want to pay a visit to my house! Muahahahahaha …..

Where is this greeny greeny place?

This is the place where I spent my Merdeka Holiday. Hello, Cameron Highland! I think this is the first outstation trip with my family ever since we started working in KL. All of us had never been to Cameron Highland. I know it's been so famous but somehow we just never visit here. Hehe XD

We are happy family <3
The attractions here are none other than tea farm, cactus farm and strawberry farm. Along the way up to Brinchang, you can see many similar places. We were all tired on the first day so we only managed to visit Bee Farm, BOH Tea Farm and of course not to be missed the Pasar Malam. The weather during day time is still okay, but night time... It's freezing!!!

We had steamboat as our first night dinner, and it's blissful!! Plus the price is reasonable, so no complaint on that :D My brother enjoyed it so much and he took the longest time to finish all the stuff on the table. Actually, he finished most of them :P

The pasar malam seems nothing special to me, maybe I'm just not interested :D So the best thing to do now is to go back to hotel, jump onto the bed and watch TV. Muahaha, like a boss huh! Well, holidays meant to be like that. One problem here is that the coverage is very weak, so advisable to find a hotel with WiFi, else you gonna get disconnected with the world when you're here!

Oh ya, when you visit Cameron Highland, remember to bring a pair of good shoes cause you just need to walk, walk, walk and walk. We walked around 400meters to reach this place - Rose Valley :O Nice flowers, and lots of spots for photo opp.

This is only the Rose Valley in Cameron Highland, stay tune for more :)
