Tr!p to Merlion City

I know this is a little bit late @.@ A busy life is a progressing life :P *finding excuses*

The last time I visited Singapore was 3 years back attending a Conference in Singapore Expo, and after 3 years, I'm back to Singapore Expo again for a trade fair. Yup! I visited Singapore again with the boss :P It is a business trip with a site visit assignment. Hence, I got a chance to visit few attractions in Singapore which include Universal Studio, The Annexe Science Centre, Singapore Underwater World, Vivo City and the famous Orchard road. In short, a beautiful city!

Singapore is definitely a worth-visit city with nice view and nice food. Though it is only a 3 days 2 night short trip, with working during the day time, I'm still able to visit Singapore from north to south and east to west. The transportation is so convenient which you really do not have to worry about anything. Unless, you don't have $$ with you. That's another story :P

I wouldn't mind going again especially when the Sales is on. Heard from my boss saying that Singapore Sales is a REAL sales!! *ahem*ahem* Well, it's just another experience gained!

Life gets better if we hold on to a positive attitude because...

I Love My Mum

Happy Mothers' Day to all the wonderful mummy out there! Thank you for your unending love and patient throughout the years <3

I'm blessed to have an awesome and supermum who brought me to who I am today. As time passed by, the wrinkles on her face, grey hairs had significantly mark the aging signs...

My mum is a superwoman. She always wanted to give her best to both me and my brother, and one thing that she always wanted us to do is to study, and be well-educated. My mum was once a top-scorer but she discontinue her studies because the family couldn't afford, and she knows how important it is to be educated. She always said this,

"You study for your own good. It's not for me.

Yet, she will never stress us or compare us with other children. My result was so-so during primary and secondary school. After SPM, I decided not to study anymore but chose to work, and the reason I gave is not to leave my hometown. With our family financial restriction, I'm fearful and so reluctant to make that decision. My mum was so upset during that period of time until I decided to go for Diploma course even she can hardly afford.

I have to thank my mum for forcing me to further my studies, (I know I'm silly) and I did so well in my Diploma studies by achieving the highest CGPA in my course and awarded as Book Prize Winner. I still remember her smile during my convo day, and how she proudly introduce me to her friend saying that, "This is my daughter!"

With my results, I was also offered 100% Scholarship to further my studies, and I continued. After two years, I graduated and stepped into the marketplace. I believe my mum felt so relieved that finally her beloved child grew up and graduated.

My mum never restricted me in making any decision and she gave me 100% freedom to do things that I like. Knowing that I must learn to be independent and be responsible. In times of failure, she will still support me and her understanding is just beyond description.

I'm thankful for such a SUPER-mum who brought me up to where I am today.
I'm blessed... I'm loved...

and... I have to say:
"Mummy, I love you!"

Getaway to World Heritage City

I was in Malacca last weekend, a random getaway trip with my ever awesome gang. This idea grow from a facebook comment and turns out to be true in 2 weeks time. Don't you think they are awesome? So it was a road trip with a total of 9 pretty ladies.

Our two days one night trip started with good food, and it is none other than the famous Chicken Rice Ball. Look at how people queue *Salute* To be honest, I had never try it before until this time round. It really taste nice with a very cute outlook. I think the size makes people eat more as compared to the normal portion. Then, we have Nyonya Cuisine for dinner which I really like. Yes, I like Nyonya food. Hehehe ;) On the next day, we had the famous Cendol which is another "queue attraction" too!!

We visited a few famous tourist spots and took a lot a lot and a lot of photos. It is impossible for not taking photos right? So, let photos do the talking, present to you *jeng jeng jeng jeng*

Spending time with these awesome people are always fun. (read my previous post here.) I like it when people meet together, it is about sharing life. Isn't that what life suppose to be? Ahhhh, I can't be any thankful for having such an awesome group of people to be my friends. Check out the pretty ladies here, you can get their contacts from me... Oops!! *zipped*

I wanna thank everyone for making this trip a success. Wei Sing, Yoyo, Kit, Tammy, Stef, YinYin, Huey Yng and Rockie. You gurls rawwwk!! I really enjoyed myself sooooooooo much and it was truly a great memories marked. Awesome and Fanta-bulous :) Spending time with you gurls are always awesome time spent. How great! I better don't have a wild hope for wanting more. Haha :)

My thought :
Truly, Malacca is a beautiful heritage city, despite the super hot weather! The buildings are classic, the culture are unique. I guess culture and beliefs are slowly neglected especially in this young generation where most of the people doesn't care about that anymore. I think, we have our own responsibility in inheriting our own culture to the next generation. Let's do our part ;)

The Beautiful 6 Months

If you've been following my tweets, you'll know that my beloved colleague, Husna is leaving for a better. For me, it's kinda shock to receive such a news on a Monday morning, which we've been so close for the past 6 months.

As an out-going and PR person like her, we easily make friends and started to be a very good colleague for one another. Surprisingly we hold same opinion for lots of issues and we are just TOO "flow". We laugh on our own created lame jokes, we share the so called "secrets" and make fun of one another. One of the copyrighted quote from her is "You and your ....!!"

"Eh, Husna come come, I got secret to tell you." Theresa said.
"Miss Loh, you and your secret !!!" Husna replied.

But of course she'll still come then we laugh out loud on it. Hahahahahaha.... Real loud! We had so many great memories throughout the past 6 months. She worked 31days non-stop during December due to the series of events and activities. In the midst of boredom and stress, this is what we do.

Then we have BlackBerry Illuminare, Matta Fair, Sharks in the City and lots more lots more. We've been working a project together, gone through stress and happiness together, and I have to admit that both of us are 100% Drama Queen. I have the best companion ever to act with me like nobody's business. Created the un-exist storyline and act on it spontaneously. Oh my God, those were the times! I can foresee working days without her will definitely be different. :'(

Truly I'm thankful for her being a great supporter, a great colleague and an awesome friend. I'm sure she gonna comment that I'm so sentimental. Indeed, I am!! Hahaha :D Am sure not only me but all of us were blessed to have you with us together. I'm gonna miss your "not-so-sexy" pose, miss our peeping time, miss the gong gong drama, miss "shiao jie, choose a card"....

Anyway, you had started strong with good attitude and great potential. I believe your future ahead is gonna be greater.

"Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there."

My dear Jr. Popcorn Machine,
I wanna wish you all the best and shine as you are!

After Seven Years...

Phew!! It's April now. How is it so far as you step into the 2nd quarter of the year?

I started my April by meeting up my National Service friends. It is awesome because we haven't meet one another for seven years, which equivalent to 2555 days. Seven years is not a short period of time, people change, things change. I can't deny the power of social media because it is facebook that brought us back together.

Reflecting back our NS time seven years ago, time had passed too fast and we hardly keep ourselves in the loop of connection. I still remember when I first knew I was chosen to participate in the 1st National Service in 2004, I cried for almost a week and think of thousand excuses to escape from it. Of course it doesn't work!

Things turn out to be good, despite all those activities, marching under the hot sun, exploring jungle in the middle of the night and other activities. I'm thankful because I made good friends. They are my best companion who share laughter together. I remember most of the time we were in the room complaining about the lecturer, the class, the activities which we think are unnecessary. We gossip about the lady who don't take shower and never do laundry. Ya, those were the times!

After seven years, things change, people change. We got our own career, some of them got their own family. It is wonderful that we can gather after seven years, sharing our lives, reminiscing our memory together! And the words that we keep on repeating is "Sigh, time passed too fast!!" Look at these two cute babies... when is my turn?

Life is beautiful when we choose to love life, share life.

Where would I be seven years from now?
